Norman Fletcher

Todays blog is dedicated to Norman Fletcher.

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I add another wonderful warrior to the long list of heros that mesothelioma has taken. I met Norman and his wife Rose at the last mesothelioma UK conference last year.  It was a joy and alway will be a great memory of that day. A beautiful couple who suited each other so much. I heard today that Norman had lost his battle yesterday.
Love and strength is being sent from all over the world to Rose and her family as she travels her next chapter without Norman. She is devistated without question.
Please join me in sending Rose and family condolences on the loss of her very brave and courageous warrior who fought as his name suggests, Norman the conquerer, and he did fight a valiant battle.

Jan, a special friend on facebook added a lovely poem on Norman's special page. I want to share it with you all.

A limb has fallen from the family tree

I keep hearing a voice that says-Grieve not for me

Remembr the best times, the laughter, the song
... ...
The good life I lived while I was strong

Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you

Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through

My mind is at ease, my soul at rest

Remembering all, how I truly was blessed

Continue traditions, no matter how small

Go on with your life, dont worry about falls
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin

Until the day comes and we're together again

I am so proud to have known you Norman, you were a very special man, a happy smile and love for your family. It is your time to become Norman the angel, the protector, watch over your beautiful Rose and your wonderful family every day, they need you more that anything, to give them the strength to get through these very difficult days. x x x
