First things first, I was up late this morning as I had watched most of the Olympic closing ceremony. I was also awoken early in the day by Stork, he had caught a bird, poor thing was dead, not long though as it was still warm. Stork was making a real racket by throwing this poor creature around, no wonder it had died. Amber was looking on, think she was waiting for her turn. Naughty kitties!!
10:15 am I woke up, a soggy, fluffy face looking at me and waiting for breakfast. Stork always gives me a nudge in the morning either by a poke in the face with his paw or dribbling everywhere. I went down stairs and fed him and Amber, then I looked out of the window at my pansies, they are still there and looking beautiful. I was so pleased, it looks like the copper tape may work as it had been raing in the night, that will bring the slug army out.
After I had breakfast and got myself dressed I went out to see my friend, Maryann, she had some crockery for the charity shop, I let her know I was running late, we took the crockery to the shop and then went for a coffe, I was pleased to hear that at last she was getting a new kitchen and a wet room. She has needed this for a long time. Well done Maryann x x
After I had helped Maryann, I went home briefly before going out again to see my friend Carolyn. She helped me fill a form. It was so good to see her, I hadn't seen her for a while so it was a good opportunity to catch up on what has been happening in our lives.
I got home around 5:30 pm, I made myself fish and chips for tea. I am eating a lot better now, I am still going to put off the chemo as I am not fully recovered from the last lot and want to be as strong as possible to take the next round. Slug wars will continue, I haven't seen one cross that barrier, yee hah sluggy, another battle fought and won, I hope I don't have to eat my words tomorrow!!
