She had survived Mesothelioma for 14 years, I honestly thought that she would be living side by side with mesothelioma for a long time.
Sadly, that wasn't to be and she fell asleep on Sunday.
Such a hard working, vibrant and beautiful person. Quite often we would chat about our lives, We were going through chemo together and swapping stories about our families.
She was so proud of her little boy, 5 years old, he so wanted to go out on the boat and catch his own snapper. He liked to think he was one of the men. Belinda did say she only let him go out when it was calm. When he caught his first snapper she couldn't wait to tell me and asked if I have seen the picture.
Such a lovely family.
Life can be so very cruel and Belinda never would have wanted to leave her family. Mesothelioma had other ideas and stole her away. I hate it so much for doing that. I will miss our chats so much, quite often hearing that she was off to clean the caravans in the park she ran with her family.
She fought Mesothelioma with courage and dignity, she inspired me so much to think that I could fight this bastard disease for as long as Belinda had. She touched so many hearts.
Beautiful lady, my heart breaks to hear you have left, heaven has gained a wonderful angel.
I can see from her facebook page just how much she was loved and will be missed. Condolences to Steve, Nathan and little Justin. Todays blog is dedicated to a wonderful lady, a hard working, dedicated, loving mum and wife who's spirit will live on in her family.
Goodnight beautiful lady x x x x
